Administrative Support Specialist

DCT Recruitment Careers is seeking an experienced administrator to join our team for a 2-year contract on a construction site. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and develop skills in HR administration, recruitment, and employee relations.
About the Role:
We are looking for a highly organized and communicative individual to provide administrative support to our construction site team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with recruitment processes, onboarding new employees, maintaining employee records, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with job descriptions, candidate screening, and interview coordination
* Onboard new employees, ensuring all required documents are completed and compliance requirements are met
* Meet with interviewees and new employees on site to ensure smooth onboarding
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and confidential HR files
* Process attendance, holiday, sickness, and clearance records using attendance management software
* Act as the first point of contact for employee inquiries and address any related issues
* Monitor employee welfare and resolve logistical concerns regarding site accommodations, transport, or other matters
* Book transport shuttles, hotels, and manage car rental accounts
Qualifications & Skills:
* Proven experience in HR/administrative support/office management, preferably in a construction or industrial setting
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Strong organizational skills with ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
* Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and SAP
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
* Proactive attitude and ability to work independently and as part of a team
Salary Information:
The estimated salary for this role is £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
