Overview

The University of Hertfordshire is seeking an experienced Student Funding and Financial Support Administrator to join its team. This is a varied position with the opportunity to contribute to new working practices and support students across both campuses. The role will focus on developing specialist knowledge relating to Student Finance funding for Home/EU students, emphasizing eligibility for the Student Loans Company.

Main Responsibilities As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for processing student records for the SLC, including attendance/registration confirmations, change of circumstances etc. Providing advice and assistance to students is a critical aspect of this role. You will also provide administrative support for the University Hardship Fund and scholarship/bursary awards. Additionally, you will handle all student enquiries and information requests through multiple contact methods, including face-to-face, telephone, IT systems (e.g. email, SMS, Web) and other formats as appropriate.

Required Skills and Qualifications For this busy and challenging role, you must have excellent organisational and IT skills, proven experience of customer service, and the ability to work to strict deadlines. You should be a good communicator, with attention to detail, and committed to providing a high-quality service. A minimum of five GCSEs, including Maths and English at grade C/4 or above, or equivalent qualifications, or proven work experience are required. A-levels or equivalent qualifications would be advantageous.

Benefits The estimated salary for this role is £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
