The Role:

We are looking for a Housing Advisor to work in our busy Housing Advice Service, carrying out statutory functions under homelessness legislation and offering tailored housing advice and homelessness prevention options to customers. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of homelessness legislation, landlord and tenant law, and choice-based lettings schemes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To carry out statutory functions under homelessness legislation
  • To offer tailored housing advice and homelessness prevention options to customers
  • To work with customers to identify their needs and provide personalized support

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree in Social Work, Law, or a related field
  • Working knowledge of homelessness legislation, landlord and tenant law, and choice-based lettings schemes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Salary and Benefits:

This is a full-time role, 37 hours per week, with a salary of £36,124 - £40,476 per annum (City Pay Band 5). We offer a range of benefits, including enhanced DBS check, family-friendly policies, agile and flexible working, generous annual leave allowance, and access to the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS).
