Role Overview
At DEEP, we're seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design, development, and testing of innovative mechanical systems for subsea applications. As a key member of our engineering team, you'll work closely with colleagues to shape the future of subsea product design and development.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical systems, components, and arrangements for subsea applications.
- Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and reports for procurement, manufacturing, and assembly purposes.
- Break down and define engineering challenges by interrogating use cases and defining requirements based on customer needs and regulatory compliance.
- Troubleshoot and provide solutions to technical issues during manufacturing, installation, and commissioning of mechanical systems.
- Conduct analysis, simulations, and testing of mechanical systems to ensure their reliability, safety, and performance.
- Develop and maintain engineering documentation, including specifications, calculations, reports, and bills of materials.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Previous experience in engineering, with a focus on mechanical design and development.
- Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software, such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Familiarity with marine regulations and standards, such as DNV and IMCA, is desirable.
- Experience with simulation and analysis software, such as ANSYS or MATLAB, is also desirable.
