Reed Specialist Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Administrator to join our team in Belfast. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, managing staff, and leading procurement activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Manage all procurement activities, ensuring efficient, compliant, and cost-effective use of public funds.">
  • Lead in Procurement Activities - Oversee and lead the end-to-end procurement process within the public sector, encompassing sourcing, contract negotiation and ongoing supplier relationship management to deliver optimal value, compliance with internal policies and adherence to public sector procurement standards.">
  • Prepare Management Accounts - Lead the preparation and presentation of monthly management accounts, ensuring accurate and comprehensive reporting of financial performance across the organisation.">
  • Assist in Year-End Accounts Preparation - Assist in the preparation of year-end accounts playing a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial reports.">
  • Completion of Monthly Funder Claims - Accurately complete and submit monthly and quarterly funder claims ensuring compliance with grant requirements and funding agreements.">
  • Monthly Payroll Checks -Conduct a comprehensive monthly review of payroll. Line Management of Staff - Provide effective line management for a team of three staff members, establishing clear objectives and performance goals aligned with departmental and organisational priorities.">

Requirements:

">

To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field OR a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA) with at least three years of experience in a fast-paced finance role.

">

A minimum of three years of experience in a finance role, demonstrating a strong focus on procurement and management experience.

">

Strong proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

">

Proven track record in managing staff, driving team performance and fostering a collaborative work environment.

">

Benefits:

This role offers a competitive salary of £42,315 per annum, along with 19% pension contribution and hybrid working model.
