Rail Depot Assistant

We are looking for an experienced Rail Depot Assistant to join our team in Barton-Under-Needwood. The successful candidate will assist the Fuel Point Team in maintaining the efficiency and safety of our operations.
Job Summary:
Assist the Fuel Point Team in daily operations, ensuring the safe and efficient management of fuel points and other equipment.
Main Responsibilities:
• Support the Fuel Point Team in performing routine fleet checks and reporting any abnormalities.
• Assist in measuring sand dispense quantities and reporting any issues.
• Collaborate with the team to maintain a clean and organized work environment (5S tasks).
Requirements:
• Previous experience in mechanical maintenance or a related field is desirable but not essential.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are required.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently when necessary.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical engineering principles is beneficial.
Salary and Benefits:
£15.48 PAYE / £19.57 Umbrella hourly rate, with opportunities for overtime and permanent night shifts.
