Job Overview
Randstad UK is seeking an experienced Child Support Specialist to join their team in the Northern Trust area. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a dynamic social care team, providing support to senior social workers and management teams. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering efficient and effective services to children and families within the Family Intervention Team.

Responsibilities
The Child Support Specialist will assist social work managers in providing quality social work services, undertaking tasks allocated by the Social Work Team Manager to support social workers in the discharge of their duties. This includes coordinating family support, diversionary, and respite services, sourcing appropriate family support services, and collating essential information for assessments. Additionally, the specialist will assist with practical tasks such as transport, deliver advice and guidance on parenting tasks, and support the delivery of contact services including supervision of contact arrangements.

Requirements
The ideal candidate will have experience working within child and family care or with young people, hold NISCC registration, and possess 6-12 months of previous social care experience. A valid UK driving license and access to a car for work are also essential. The ability to communicate effectively, prioritize tasks, and build rapport with parents, young people, and social care professionals is crucial.

Benefits
This role offers a competitive salary of £12.86 per hour (Band 4 pay scale), full-time hours of 37.5 per week (part-time hours considered pending experience), premium evening and weekend rates, competitive mileage allowance, enhanced holiday package, employee assistance program, and fully-funded enhanced training and e-learning opportunities.
