We are seeking an experienced and passionate Lift Service Engineer to join our team at James Grace, based in the Midlands region. In this role, you will be responsible for servicing and maintaining our clients' elevators across the region, ensuring optimal performance and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Service and maintain customer lifts, adhering to industry standards and regulations.
  2. Repair or replace lift components, utilizing technical expertise and problem-solving skills.
  3. Respond to mechanical failures and breakdowns, prioritizing timely resolution and minimizing downtime.
  4. Perform safety checks and risk assessments, identifying potential hazards and implementing corrective actions.
  5. Plan and manage workload around assigned tasks, ensuring efficient use of time and resources.
  6. Maintain van stock and order supplies through our supply chain, optimizing inventory levels and reducing waste.
  7. Recommend necessary parts and equipment to ensure lift compliance, staying up-to-date with industry developments and advancements.
  8. Participate in out-of-hours work on a pro rata basis, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
  1. NVQ3 in Lift Engineering or equivalent qualifications, demonstrating technical expertise and knowledge.
  2. Full UK Driving License with the ability to travel, ensuring safe and efficient transportation.
  3. Strong verbal and written communication skills, facilitating effective collaboration and customer interaction.
  4. Initiative and ability to collaborate effectively with others, working as part of a team to achieve common goals.
  5. Positive attitude and openness to change, embracing new challenges and opportunities.
  6. Excellent organizational skills, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
  7. Exceptional customer-care abilities, delivering high-quality service and ensuring customer satisfaction.
