About Our Senior Family Support Role

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Family Support Worker to join our team in Redbridge. This role is focused on delivering exceptional support to children with disabilities and their families.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Children with Disabilities Project. They will work closely with families, health professionals, and social services to ensure the best possible outcomes for children with disabilities.

The key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Monitoring and reviewing the progress of children with disabilities to ensure they receive the necessary support.
  • Identifying child protection concerns and reporting them to senior practitioners or team managers.
  • Assessing the needs of young people transitioning to adulthood and developing care plans to support their transition.
  • Building relationships with health, education, and social services to ensure comprehensive support for young people.
  • Completing healthcare checks to identify ongoing needs and ensure continuity of care.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in social care, preferably with experience working with children with disabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with families, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and develop effective solutions.
  • A high level of emotional intelligence, with the ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.

We offer a competitive salary of £39,000 - £41,500 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including pension scheme, life assurance, and annual leave.
