Executive Risk Partner for Technology Platform Transformation

About the Role
The Executive Risk Partner for Technology Platform is a critical position at Swift, responsible for leading a team of Risk Partners in the Second Line of Defence. This role provides independent challenge and scrutiny to the Executive and Leadership team of the Technology Platform, ensuring high standards of resiliency and security for a globally systemically important architecture.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Technology Platform Risk Partner team within the Risk Department (Second Line of Defence) at Swift, providing independent challenge and scrutiny to major initiatives.
- Deliver against a portfolio of risk management requirements, including Risk Assessments, Risk and Control Self Assessments, Risk Monitoring, Risk Acceptances, Board Papers, Executive Papers, and Overseer Papers, related to company KPIs.
- Build strong working relationships with the Technology Platform Executive and Management team, serving as a member of the extended Management Team and the Risk Department Management Team.
- Contribute strategic thinking to report writing for Executives, Board, and Overseers.
- Present quarterly Board meetings (TP Committee), quarterly Overseer meetings, and ad hoc Overseer meetings to represent the second line opinion on major initiatives.
- Define medium- and long-term views on processes and methods, securing resources for improvements within the Risk Department.
- Support the achievement of company strategy, TP Strategy, and the Risk Department Roadmap through delivery within the TP Risk Partner team and broader support across the Risk Department.
- Provide leadership in setting and demonstrating the culture and values within the Risk Department.
- Develop specific skills and understanding related to areas of expertise, introducing new external ideas to improve processes.
- Apply in-depth expert knowledge in TP risk management, leading strategic direction and objective management for the TP Risk Partner team.
- Proactively assess impact of changes on department activities, leading as part of the collective Management Team of the Risk Department.
- Familiarity with the three lines of defence model is essential.
- Demonstrate ability to build a strong and sustainable network across the company and beyond the immediate Technology Platform space.
