About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales and Business Development Manager to join our team at Leisure People Recruitment. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving group business and developing new leads and partnerships with groups and third-party agents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively drive group business, including travel trade, education, schools, and events.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to increase revenue and grow the business.
  • Build and maintain relationships with existing and new clients, including travel trade, education, and events.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships with groups and third-party agents.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to achieve sales targets and grow the business.
Requirements
  • Outgoing, self-motivated, and target-driven individual with outstanding communication, networking, and partnership-building skills.
  • B2B/B2C sales experience, preferably with group bookings expertise, from within the sports, leisure, travel, tourism, education, visitor attractions, hotels, bars, clubs, conference, and events or hospitality industry.
  • Proactive sales experience with evidence of self-generating leads in a previous role, possibly as a Travel Trade Sales Manager, Events Sales Manager, Corporate Sales, Director of Sales, Business Development Manager, or experienced Sales Executive.
  • Ability to manage and develop a small sales bookings team.
  • Full driving license and use of a car.
  • Able to travel throughout Hampshire for regular meetings and site visits.
