Quantinuum is at the forefront of the quantum computing revolution, and we're seeking a talented PhD Quantum Computing Theory Intern to join our team in Broomfield, CO.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the development of quantum computers using trapped ions as qubits, leveraging your research experience to drive innovation.
  • Analyze and optimize quantum computing protocols, such as quantum error correction and quantum algorithms, in a research environment.
  • Present scientific results at meetings and in publications, showcasing your expertise and passion for quantum computing.
Requirements:
  • Currently enrolled in a PhD program.
  • Graduating after December 2024.
  • Due to contractual requirements, must be a U.S. person (defined as a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or green card holder, or a worker granted asylum or refugee status).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2+ years' experience (PhD inclusive) in quantum information, quantum computing, or quantum algorithms.
  • Experience with constructing quantum circuits and performing simulation and modeling to inform experiments.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with published results within your field of research.
