NHS Immunisation Specialist
About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled and dedicated NHS Immunisation Specialist to join our team in Lambeth and Southwark. As a member of our School Age Vaccination Service (SAV), you will play a crucial role in supporting the safe delivery and triage of vaccination programmes.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and young people, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be responsible for assessing young people, understanding immunisation pre-requisites, contraindications, aftercare, and providing relevant advice.
Main Responsibilities:
- Administer vaccines according to national immunisation schedules
- Maintain accurate records of immunisations given
- Provide education and information to patients and families about immunisation
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions following immunisation
- Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals
- Participate in public health initiatives to promote immunisation
Working Conditions:
- This role may involve travel to different locations to provide immunisation clinics
Person Specification:
- Registered Nurse (NMC registered)
- Experience working in the NHS and within the community or with children and young people
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum
