Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced payroll professional to join our team as a Senior Payroll Coordinator. This role involves administering end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver payrolls to agreed deadlines, maintaining accuracy and timeliness.
  • Input data for payrolls, running audit and validation checks, and interfacing with General Ledger and Pensions systems.
  • Monitor SSP, SMP, and other statutory payments and calculations.
  • Process year-end reporting and manage payroll changes to time and attendance systems.
  • Administer end-to-end payroll processes and auto-enrolment compliance.
  • Respond to payroll-related enquiries from clients and provide trusted advice.
  • Support pay queries and peer-check payrolls.
  • Undertake general administrative tasks and collaborate within the payroll hub.
  • Develop relationships with the team and communicate effectively with wider offices, HMRC, and third-party providers.
  • Stay up-to-date with payroll legislation and industry changes through independent research.

Requirements

  • At least one year's experience in payroll administration, preferably in a busy service-driven environment.
  • End-to-end payroll processing experience, including pensions, benefits, and statutory payments.
  • High accuracy and attention to detail in manual and systems-based work.
  • Natural ability to coordinate, prioritise, and multitask with minimal supervision.
  • Strong customer-focused approach, handling customer queries by phone and email.
