Role Overview

Austin Fraser is seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Administrator to join their team in Newcastle. This permanent role offers a challenging opportunity for candidates with strong payroll processing skills and excellent communication abilities.

About the Job

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of running end-to-end payroll processing for their own portfolio of clients, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks. They will also be proficient in performing manual calculations and carrying out standard and non-standard payroll tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities
  • Run end-to-end payroll processing for assigned clients, managing workload effectively and independently.
  • Perform manual calculations and carry out standard and non-standard payroll tasks as required.
  • Take ownership of data entry tasks and activities, maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments within the business, providing support to senior colleagues as needed.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in running end-to-end payroll processing for your own portfolio of clients.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role, with a strong track record of dealing with high volumes of work.
  • A high level of attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage workload effectively and independently.
  • Strong Maths and English GCSE or equivalent qualification, with good knowledge of payroll legislation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A team player with a proactive approach, able to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
