We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 7 Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist to join our integrated Medical HSEP (Health Services for Elderly People) therapy team at Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership to a highly specialized therapy service on Medical HSEP wards
- Participate in daily operational activities and management, planning, implementation, and direction of the Medical HSEP team in conjunction with the clinical lead
- Provide professional support to qualified staff, students, and support staff
- Be involved in the strategic planning and policy development for the Medical HSEP service and deputize for the Clinical Lead where necessary
- Degree in Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy
- Current HCPC registration
- Demonstration of commitment to lifelong learning
- Demonstration of interest in Frailty and team specialty through attendance at relevant courses
- Membership of a specialist interest group (e.g. AGILE)
- Post-registration experience in in-patient Medical HSEP and Frailty with examples
- Extensive experience working in an acute healthcare setting and complex discharge planning with examples
- Committed to personal and team development with examples
- Adaptable and supportive of change with examples
- Punctual and reliable with examples
- Research-minded with an area of Frailty with examples
The post holder will be required to participate in the 7-day working roster, which involves working up to 1 weekend every 4 weeks, plus 2 Bank Holidays per annum. 2 consecutive scheduled days off will be given in the week before or after the weekend worked and Agenda for Change pay enhancements apply.
