Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 7 Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist to join our Medical HSEP (Health Services for Elderly People) therapy team at Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and participating in daily operational activities, management, planning, implementation, and direction of the Medical HSEP team.

Main Duties

The ideal candidate will have post-registration experience in in-patient Medical HSEP and Frailty, with a strong background in acute healthcare settings and complex discharge planning. They will be responsible for providing professional support to qualified staff, students, and support staff, and will be involved in strategic planning and policy development for the Medical HSEP service.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Demonstrate ability to meet Trust Values in a logical manner with proficient language
  • Degree in Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy
  • Current HCPC registration
  • Demonstration of commitment to lifelong learning
  • Demonstration of interest in Frailty and team specialty through attendance at relevant courses

Desirable

  • Membership of a specialist interest group ie AGILE
  • Experience in audit with examples
  • Experience in coaching, supervising, and teaching staff with examples
  • Evidence of leadership and first-line management with examples
  • Experience in acute medicine in area of Medical HSEP and frailty
