About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Rheumatology Consultant to join our dynamic team at North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust. As a Rheumatology Consultant, you will play a key role in shaping future Rheumatology services in North Cumbria and contribute to the delivery of outstanding healthcare services to our population.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with nursing, professional and technical, social work and administrative staff to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Take full and independent responsibility for clinical care of patients, with a high level of clinical experience and competence in rheumatology.
  • Develop and implement training programs for medical staff, with a commitment to teaching undergraduate and postgraduate medical staff.
  • Contribute to medical audit and research, with experience of research and Clinical Governance.

Requirements

  • Full Registration with the General Medical Council.
  • Entry on the GMC specialist register via relevant CCT, MRCP(UK) (proposed CCT date must be within 6 months of interview), relevant CESR or European Community Rights.
  • High level of clinical experience and competence in rheumatology.
  • Excellent communication skills with patients, colleagues, managers and other staff.
