Overview of the Role

The Administrative Team Lead is a critical position within HM Courts and Tribunals Service, responsible for overseeing the administrative functions of a team. This role requires a high level of organizational skills, leadership abilities, and technical expertise.

Job Description

This position involves managing a team of staff to ensure efficient delivery of administrative support and customer service to stakeholders, judiciary, and management. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing effective administrative practices, procedures, and standards, as well as monitoring key performance areas and analyzing performance trends.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead the implementation of efficient and consistent administrative practices, procedures, and standards;
  • Manage resources, including staff and facilities, to ensure excellent customer service;
  • Monitor key performance areas and analyze performance trends to make recommendations for improvement;
  • Conduct ongoing reviews of procedures and work practices and manage the implementation of new initiatives and legislation;
  • Provide written and verbal advice to queries from staff and HMCTS users;
  • Contribute to the delivery of operational, performance, and service standard targets;
  • Provide statistical data for the management team and judiciary;
  • Deal with any accommodation issues that arise and liaise with estates/facilities and/or contractors as needed;
Requirements
  • Able to motivate and support team members to deliver excellent customer service and achieve effective performance;
  • Experience of working in an administrative role in a customer-focused environment;
  • Proficient with IT and Microsoft Software packages;
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills;
  • Leadership and management experience;
  • Ability to analyze complex information and make informed decisions;
  • Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills;
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively;
