Salary Information

The estimated annual salary for this role is £31,169, plus an employer contribution of £9,029 towards the Civil Service Defined Benefit Pension scheme.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and plan the workload of a team providing administrative support and customer service to stakeholders, judiciary, and management.
  • Lead a team of staff, ensuring they are organized and skilled to meet their objectives, using Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and continuous improvement tools.
  • Assist in delivering performance against targets.
  • Implement efficient administrative practices, procedures, and standards, resolving identified problems.
  • Monitor key performance areas, analyzing trends and making recommendations for improvement.
  • Conduct ongoing reviews of procedures and work practices, managing the implementation of new initiatives and legislation.
  • Provide advice on queries from staff and users.
  • Contribute to operational, performance, and service standard targets.
  • Report statistical data to the management team and judiciary.
  • Deal with accommodation issues, liaising with estates/facilities and contractors as needed.
  • Contribute to the business plan, focusing on the team's area of work.
  • Monitor and report on HMCTS assurance programme development.
  • Apply risk management systems and standards, ensuring compliance with policy.
  • Ensure governance and assurance around money and personal data receipt, accounting, and transfer.
  • Represent the function at an operational level.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Motivate and support team members to deliver excellent customer service and achieve effective performance.
  • Experience working in an administrative role in a customer-focused environment.
  • Proficient in IT and Microsoft software packages.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Complete a Level 3 Team Leader Apprenticeship as part of the role.
