Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Assistant to join our team at the ESRC Centre for Lifecourse Health Equity. As a Research Assistant, you will support the Centre's research activities and contribute to the development of innovative solutions to address health inequalities.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of a PhD in an appropriate discipline or equivalent professional research experience. You will have a strong background in health inequalities and excellent research skills, including the ability to design and conduct studies, collect and analyse data, and disseminate results through publications and presentations.

Your responsibilities will include supporting the Centre's research team in identifying and analysing existing qualitative data and evidence, producing syntheses of existing evidence, and undertaking new qualitative research as needed. You will also assist in establishing and working with Public Scrutiny Panels to inform and scrutinise the Centre's research.

As a Research Assistant, you will work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure that the Centre's research advances inform departmental teaching efforts and contribute to teaching as required. This may include delivering guest lectures and seminars related to your research expertise and participating in committees and administrative functions within the Centre and Department/Faculty.

The estimated salary for this position is £38,000-£48,000 per annum, depending on experience.
