About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Research Associate in Health Policy. As a key member of our research team, you will work closely with Professor Kat Smith and other colleagues to advance our understanding of health inequalities and develop innovative solutions.

The successful candidate will have a PhD in an appropriate discipline or equivalent professional research experience and a strong background in health inequalities. You will have excellent research skills, including the ability to design and conduct studies, collect and analyse data, and disseminate results through publications and presentations.

Your responsibilities will include identifying and analysing existing qualitative data and evidence, producing syntheses of existing evidence, and undertaking new qualitative research as needed. You will also take a leading role in establishing and working with Public Scrutiny Panels to inform and scrutinise the Centre's research.

As a Research Associate, you will work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure that the Centre's research advances inform departmental teaching efforts and contribute to teaching as required. This may include delivering guest lectures and seminars related to your research expertise and participating in committees and administrative functions within the Centre and Department/Faculty.

The estimated salary for this position is £40,000-£50,000 per annum, depending on experience.
