Job Description:

Step Teachers is currently seeking a qualified Maths Teacher to join their team in the North of Oxfordshire for an ongoing supply role. This full-time position involves teaching KS3 and 4 students, with the possibility of also teaching KS5.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Maths curriculum and be able to provide every student with a tailored education to meet their needs. Well-being is as important to Step Teachers as academic success, and they take pride in the pastoral support they offer their students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a well-organised and professional classroom environment, including its resources
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the department and across the school
  • Assess students' performance, monitor their progress, and provide meaningful feedback
  • Plan and deliver engaging, comprehensive lessons that cater to diverse learning styles
  • Adhere to and consistently implement school policies
Requirements:
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent qualification for secondary school teaching
  • Have recent experience teaching Maths in a mainstream school setting
  • Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • A relevant degree in Maths or a related field is preferred
  • Experience with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) is advantageous

The estimated salary for this role is £30,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience. This is a competitive package that reflects the demands and rewards of this role.
