Job Description

Step Teachers is currently seeking an experienced Maths Teacher to join our team on a full-time basis in the North of Oxfordshire. As a Maths Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching KS3 and 4 students, with the opportunity to teach KS5 as well.

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate individual who can provide a tailored education to meet the needs of every student. The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of the Maths curriculum and be able to maintain a professional classroom environment.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Possess a deep understanding of the Maths curriculum
  • Maintain an organised and professional classroom environment
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the department and across the school
  • Assess students' performance, monitor their progress, and provide meaningful feedback
  • Plan and deliver engaging, comprehensive lessons
  • Adhere to and consistently implement school policies
Requirements
  • Necessary Qualifications:
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent qualification for secondary school teaching
  • Have recent experience teaching Maths in a mainstream school setting
  • Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • A relevant degree in Maths or a related field is preferred
  • Experience with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) is advantageous

Estimated Salary: £30,000 - £45,000 per annum
