About the Role

The Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Education Lead to join our team. As a key member of our Clinical Education Team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality education and training programs to our staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and delivery of clinical and non-clinical skills training programs for learners across the organization.
  • Provide professional leadership and support to the Practice Development Nurses/Practitioners.
  • Work closely with ward, department, and service line managers to identify training needs and develop programs to meet those needs.
  • Ensure that training provided internally meets the needs of the service and is in line with best practice.
  • Monitor the performance of learners and ensure they have a clear induction and clinical competencies.
Requirements
  • NMC/HCPC Registration.
  • BSc in nursing or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Teaching/assessment qualification.
  • Experience of training/working in education.
  • Masters Level Education or working towards.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • PgC Medical Education.
  • Experience of delivering Professional Education and Development or Talent for Care Related Projects.
  • Experience of working independently and as part of a ward/team.
  • Experience of supervision/management of a clinical team.
  • Experience of working with learners undertaking Apprenticeships.
