Catering and Hospitality Team Lead

We are seeking a talented Catering and Hospitality Team Lead to join our team at Derbyshire Healthcare Foundation Trust's Derwent unit, located within Chesterfield Royal Hospital. This exciting opportunity offers a chance to make a real difference in the lives of our patients and staff.
About the RoleAs a Catering and Hospitality Team Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the onsite kitchens at Derwent, ensuring high-quality standards are consistently met throughout all stages of food production. You will lead a team of professionals, guiding them to achieve efficiency and effectiveness in food production services.
The ideal candidate will have previous supervisory experience in a similar environment, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to lead a team. They must also possess basic knowledge of Health and Safety and be able to work under pressure and on own initiative.
A competitive salary of £37,000 per annum is offered for this position, commensurate with experience.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategies to improve food quality and presentation, aligning with established standards.
- Evaluate quality control measures and hygiene systems to ensure they are always achieved.
- Lead a team of professionals in providing efficient and effective food production services.
- Maintain accountability for the day-to-day running of the kitchen service.
- Monitor stock control, adhering to stock rotation and use-by dates to minimize waste.
