Job Opportunity

Leisure and Culture Dundee is seeking a Casual Lead Sports Coach to join our team. As a key member of our Athletics Programme, you will be responsible for leading sessions that engage children and promote a love for sports.

About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual with experience in Athletics coaching. You will hold an Athletics Level 2 (UKA Athletics Coach qualification) and have a proven track record of working with children from diverse backgrounds. Your excellent organisational and planning skills will enable you to deliver a progressive and developmental programme, maintaining and updating participant records, checking all teaching equipment, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment at all times.

Responsibilities

As a Casual Lead Sports Coach, you will be responsible for:

• Leading the teaching/coaching of a variety of client groups of varying ability

• Delivering a progressive and developmental programme

• Maintaining and updating participant records

• Checking all teaching equipment

• Ensuring a safe and comfortable environment at all times

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

• Experience in Athletics coaching

• Experience working with children from a variety of backgrounds

• Excellent organisational and planning skills

• The ability to work in a team and independently

• Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, and adaptability

• Strong leadership skills

• The ability to motivate and enthuse others
