About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Henderson Group. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals to meet the demanding standards of our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up workstations with all necessary ingredients and cooking equipment.
- Check the quality of ingredients and report any concerns to the Chef.
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including peeling and chopping vegetables and cutting meat as required.
- Follow recipes and methods to ensure the highest possible quality and consistency of food production.
- Cook food as required using various utensils and kitchen appliances.
- Exercise constant watch over Health & Safety, Security, Discipline, and Due Diligence.
- Carry out food safety control checks in all areas to ensure all standards are being maintained and recorded.
- Prepare and cook all food in line with company procedure and Health and Safety regulations.
Requirements
- Good standard of education and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and multitask.
- Previous experience in a catering environment.
- Knowledge of Food Safety practices and procedures, with a minimum Level 2 qualification.
- Commercial Awareness and ability to deliver on Key Performance Indicators.
