The Kitchen Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of our kitchens, providing high-quality meals and dining experiences for residents. This position is essential to their wellbeing, contributing to a safe and positive working environment.
Working as part of the Kitchen team, under the direction of the Chef, this role involves much more than preparing and serving meals. The Kitchen Assistant will support in meeting the dietary needs of residents and contribute to maintaining a clean and tidy environment throughout the home, in line with operational standards and statutory regulations.
Main Responsibilities- Store catering stock and equipment correctly, adhering to Assured Safe Catering standards.
- Deliver meals and catering supplies to various areas within the unit efficiently.
- Assist with basic food preparation under direction.
- Maintain cleanliness within the kitchen, catering, and servery areas, complying with Assured Safe Catering standards.
- Ensure a clean and tidy environment throughout the home, upholding operational standards and statutory regulations.
- Undertake any other duties designated by the Chef or Cook.
