About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Forensic Healthcare Professional to join our team at Mountain Healthcare. As a Forensic Practitioner, you will work closely with the police and provide high-quality care to detainees in custody suites.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Collecting forensic samples and assisting with police investigations
  • Providing medical care and support to detainees with complex needs
  • Working with Liaison and Diversion to identify mental health needs and provide appropriate support
  • Delivering substance misuse therapies and promoting good personal healthcare

You will be working in a dynamic and lively environment, with no two days the same. Our dedicated healthcare professionals are fully trained to collect forensic samples and provide expert care to detainees.

As a Forensic Healthcare Professional, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge through our unique Forensic Practitioner Gateway and a range of accredited and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses.

Requirements
  • Qualified Registered Nurse or Paramedic
  • A minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience
  • Acute medical healthcare experience

Previous experience in A&E, walk-in centres, substance misuse, community nursing, police custody, or prison would be ideal. However, we are happy to provide training and support to become an accredited Forensic Practitioner.
