About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Forensic Nurse or Paramedic to join our team at Mountain Healthcare Ltd as a Forensic Custody Healthcare Professional.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and lively environment, providing high-quality care to detainees in custody suites.
As a Forensic Custody Healthcare Professional, you will work closely with the police and receive training and support to become an accredited Forensic Practitioner.
Key responsibilities include:
- Forensic sampling, including road traffic offence bloods
- Signposting and conducting referrals, offering support for vulnerabilities and helping patients to break patterns of re-offending
- Delivering substance misuse therapies
- Assessment and care of detainees and staff in custody suites
- Acute disease management
- Promoting good personal healthcare
- Working with Liaison and Diversion to identify any mental health needs

Person Specification
We are looking for a qualified Registered Nurse or Paramedic with a minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience and acute medical healthcare experience.
Previous experience in A&E, walk-in centres, substance misuse, community nursing, police custody, prison, or as a Paramedic Practitioner would be ideal.
