About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Forensic Custody Healthcare Professional to join our team at Mountain Healthcare. As a Forensic Custody Healthcare Professional, you will work closely with the police to provide high-quality care to detainees and their needs, which can vary from drug/alcohol dependency to acute medical episodes.

Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience as a Registered Nurse or Paramedic, with a strong background in acute medical healthcare. Previous experience in A&E, walk-in centres, substance misuse, community nursing, police custody, prison, or as a Paramedic Practitioner would be highly beneficial.

As a Forensic Custody Healthcare Professional, you will be responsible for delivering substance misuse therapies, assessing and caring for detainees and staff in custody suites, and promoting good personal healthcare. You will also work with Liaison and Diversion to identify any mental health needs.

Job Opportunity

This is an exciting alternative career option open to RGNs and qualified Paramedics with 3+ years' post-qualification experience. Our 4-on-4-off rota pattern will give you the ability to plan your personal life months in advance, with two day shifts, two night shifts, and 4 days off.

Custody is a dynamic and lively environment, with no two days the same. You will work closely with the police and receive training and support to become an accredited Forensic Practitioner.
