Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Staff Nurse to join our Paediatric Critical Care Unit at Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide safe and high-quality care to patients requiring High Dependency and Intensive Care.

About the Role

As a Band 5 Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for coordinating and providing skilled nursing care to patients, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for an allocated patient group. You will work collaboratively with the PCCU team to facilitate holistic and seamless care delivery for all Trust patients.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide skilled nursing care to patients, including coordination and implementation of care plans
  • Work collaboratively with the PCCU team to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Advocate for patients and contribute to the continuing development of nursing practice
  • Supervise junior nurses and support staff
Requirements
  • Degree or Diploma Level Education as Registered Nurse (RN Child or RN Adult)
  • Current registration with NMC
  • Teaching, mentoring, and assessing qualification
  • Relevant post-basic registration course
