About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Staff Nurse to join our Paediatric Critical Care Unit at Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients requiring High Dependency and Intensive Care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinating and providing skilled nursing care to patients, in accordance with the NMC code of conduct.
  • Planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for an allocated patient group, considering individual needs and using prioritization and delegation skills.
  • Advocating for patients and contributing to the continuing development of nursing, including supervising junior nurses and support staff.
Requirements
  • Degree or Diploma Level Education as a Registered Nurse (RN Child or RN Adult).
  • Current registration with the NMC.
  • Ability to demonstrate a commitment to professional development.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Teaching, mentoring, and assessing qualifications.
  • Relevant post-basic registration courses.
  • Post-registration experience in paediatric specialties.
  • Mentorship experience.
  • Adult or Paediatric Critical Care experience.
