Job Title: Head of Communications and Engagement

About the Role:

The NHS South East London Integrated Care Board is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Communications and Engagement to lead our communications and engagement function. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive communications and engagement strategy that supports our vision and goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a communications and engagement strategy that aligns with our organizational goals and objectives.
  • Lead a team of communications and engagement professionals to deliver high-quality communications and engagement activities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including the media, patients, and the public.
  • Develop and implement a stakeholder engagement plan that ensures effective communication and engagement with our stakeholders.
  • Provide expert advice on communications and engagement to our leadership team and other stakeholders.
  • Manage and maintain our brand and reputation through effective communications and engagement.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a senior communications and engagement role, preferably in the healthcare sector.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in leading teams and managing complex projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present information clearly to a range of audiences.
  • Experience in stakeholder management and building relationships with diverse groups, including marginalized communities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
