Medical Equipment Training Specialist

King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Medical Equipment Training Specialist to join their team. As a key member of the Medical Equipment Training and Equipment Library department, you will play a crucial role in providing training and support to clinical staff across the Trust.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide administrative support to the training database team, including data entry, records archiving, and telephone work.
- Order medical devices and accessories as needed, working closely with leadership to identify priorities.
- Develop and deliver training programs, working with the Medical Devices Management Group to agree on priorities.
- Assess medical device training needs across the Trust, analyzing data from various sources to identify areas for improvement.
- Coordinate and monitor medical equipment training provided by external bodies, including medical device manufacturers.
- Liaise with manufacturers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to provide equipment training to Trust staff.
- Ensure effective advertising of training initiatives to the target audience, using a variety of media.
- Assist in the delivery of training to Trust staff, working closely with trainers and subject matter experts.
- Develop high-quality training materials, including writing and preparing training content as needed.
- Ensure training and verification documents exist for each piece of equipment in the Trust, assisting in their preparation as required.
- Collaborate with IT experts to develop alternative or enhanced methods of training delivery.
- Visit relevant areas, audit, and evaluate local training systems, advising and assisting Ward/Department managers to improve or maintain staff training.
- Participate in audit and assurance work to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of relevant training systems.
- Relevant NVQ 4 or diploma, including Maths, English, and a science.
- GCSE A-C grade in Maths and English, or equivalent qualification or supervised experience.
- Experience of working in a general office environment, with administrative and clerical skills.
- Advanced experience on Microsoft Office packages, including Excel, Word, and other relevant software.
- Experience in an equipment training and/or maintenance environment, with knowledge of medical device operation and scientific terms.
- Experience in a helpdesk environment, with ability to use specialist databases and operate a Quality System.
