We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Equipment Training Specialist to join our team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Medical Equipment Resource Centre, you will play a vital role in providing training and support to our clinical staff on the use of medical devices.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide administrative support to the training database team, including data entry, records archiving, and telephone work.
- Order medical devices and accessories as needed, identified by leadership.
- Prepare training programs, agreeing priorities with the Medical Devices Management Group.
- Assess the state of medical device training in the Trust, identifying outstanding needs.
- Coordinate and monitor medical equipment training provided by outside bodies.
- Liaise with manufacturers, suppliers, and others to provide equipment training.
- Ensure effective advertising for training initiatives.
- Assist in the delivery of training to Trust staff.
- Develop high-quality training materials for clinical staff.
- Ensure training and verification documents exist for each piece of equipment.
- Develop alternative or enhanced methods of training delivery.
- Audit and evaluate local training systems.
- Participate in audit and assurance work to evaluate training systems.
- Relevant NVQ 4 or diploma, including Maths, English, and a science.
- GCSE A-C grade in Maths and English, or equivalent qualification or experience.
- Experience in a general office environment, administrative and clerical work, and Microsoft Office packages.
- Experience in an equipment training and/or maintenance environment, helpdesk environment, and operating a Quality System.
- Some knowledge of medical device operation, medical techniques, and scientific terms.
