We are seeking a skilled Social Worker to join our team in Essex County Council's Adult Social Care department. As a Social Worker, you will work with adults and their families who have complex social needs and are more vulnerable due to disability, exclusion, or diminished capacity.
Your primary responsibility will be to maximise the potential of these individuals to live healthily and independently. You will work within statutory legal frameworks, sharing ideas and best practice as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Your expertise will be invaluable in providing specialist advice and support to vulnerable adults.
The role involves travelling around Essex, and a driving licence and car, or the ability to meet the mobility requirements of the role through other means, is essential.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and review the needs of vulnerable adults, ensuring they receive the necessary support and care.
- Develop and implement care plans that promote independence and well-being.
- Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams, including health partners, to provide comprehensive support.
- Provide specialist advice and guidance to individuals, families, and carers.
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote best practice in adult social care.
- Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.
- Significant experience of social work, modelling good practice and providing advice and guidance in complex situations.
- Comprehensive understanding of current legislation, regulations, and guidance.
- Ability to develop strong relationships with partner agencies and the local community.
- Evidence of continuing professional development and capability of practice in accordance with current professional standards.
