Job Title: Residential Children Support Worker

Location: Birmingham

Contract Type: Temporary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Residential Support Worker to join our team in Birmingham. As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing support and care to young people in a residential service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safeguarding and child protection policy and procedure are followed at all times.
  • Provide advice, assistance, and support to the children and young people in your care.
  • Act as an appropriate role model to achieve their potential.
  • Support children/young people with challenging behaviour and adopt de-escalation techniques.
  • Ensure each Child/Young Person's care plan is followed and amended as appropriate to reflect their changing needs.

Requirements:

  • Care experience (6 months minimum).
  • Driver with own vehicle.
  • Level 3 Care qualification.
  • DBS update service (essential).
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Physical Intervention Training.
  • Restraint Training.
