About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in procurement, tendering, and contract management processes. You will be responsible for assisting the procurement office in delivering procurement services, working collaboratively with internal stakeholders, and maintaining procurement systems and records.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the procurement office in delivering fair procurement services, promoting value for money, and ensuring compliance with relevant contract regulations.
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to advise on processes, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain procurement systems and records.
- Assist budget holders with contract management through training, development, and consultation.
- Assist departments in the preparation of business cases.
- Develop, issue, and evaluate quotations and tenders.
- Be working towards a Level 4 MCIPS qualification with at least 1 year's related experience in procurement, tendering, and contract management processes.
- OR Be able to demonstrate 2 years' relevant experience in the above.
- A broad working knowledge of procurement, tendering, and contract management processes.
- Experience in the writing and presentation of reports.
