Procurement Officer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Officer to join our team at Reed Specialist Recruitment. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for assisting with the tendering, evaluation, placement, and monitoring of designated corporate contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the tendering and evaluation of contracts to ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
  • Provide support to key strategic projects, including the development of business cases and procurement strategies.
  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to provide advice on procurement processes and policies.
  • Assist with the preparation and development of procurement reports for internal and external audiences.
  • Develop and maintain procurement systems and records to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Provide administrative support to contribute to the smooth operation of the Procurement Office activities.

Requirements:

  • Working towards Level 4 MCIPS qualification or equivalent experience in procurement, tendering, and contract management processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize a busy workload with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
  • IT proficient with the use of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive hourly rate of £16.03 per hour.
