About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Young People Support Worker to join our team in Islington, London. This role is part of an innovative pan-London accommodation service for young people (aged 18-24) who have slept rough or are at risk of doing so.

As a Young People Support Worker, you will work as part of a team delivering the Youth Hub service. Your focus will be on reducing the number of young people sleeping rough across London and quickly moving young people into appropriate longer-term accommodation.

You will be responsible for a caseload of clients and share responsibility for the safety and wellbeing of all clients, volunteers and staff in the service. You will also lead on risk and needs assessment and support planning for your key clients.

This new role is composed of 7.5 hour shifts on weekends. Postholders need to attend mandatory training on weekdays and complete online training at a time of their choosing, for which they will be paid.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of clients in the service possible including using safeguarding and emergency alert procedures as applicable.
  • Carry a caseload of clients for whom you will be the named key worker, and take joint responsibility with your team members for the well-being and day-to-day support of all clients in the services.
  • Lead on risk and needs assessment and support planning for your key clients and contribute to ongoing needs and risk assessment of other clients in the service.

£27,636 per annum pro rata (ILW) Plus Pension and Other Benefits
