About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Support Worker to join our Complex Needs service at Hestia Housing Support.

Job Summary

This role involves providing support to individuals experiencing mental health crises in a 12-bed residential house. The successful candidate will have experience in supporting people with mental health and complex needs, knowledge of recovery approaches, and excellent stakeholder relationships building skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Co-produce the delivery of the service with current and former clients.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer contact, support, and interventions provided.
  • Liaise with other providers of support and/or treatment to the clients.
  • Maintain all other records relating to the upkeep and maintenance of the service.
  • Participate in promoting and developing the service standards of the organisation.
  • Carry out other duties as may be reasonably required by senior staff.
Requirements
  • Demonstrable experience of supporting people with mental health and complex needs.
  • A strong understanding of Recovery approaches and co-production.
  • The ability to create and deliver activities with clients to help them reduce anxieties and develop their confidence and self-esteem.
  • The ability to keep and transpose all monitoring requirements into workbooks for internal analysis and reporting to funders.
  • The motivation to maintain consistently high delivery standards and service user standards.
  • Knowledge of wider legislation to support people in a MH crisis.
  • Ability to engage clients in assessments and to co-produce, implement, record, review, and audit support and safety assessment plans.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office systems and ability to use computer systems including case management systems.
  • Understanding of basic building safety issues and what constitutes a repair.
  • Excellent stakeholder relationships building skills.
  • Excellent level of spoken and written English.
  • Ability to work flexibly, specifically out-of-hours working during the evening, weekends/bank holidays.
  • Ability to complete and record accurate financial transactions.
