About the Role

Parker Smith Inclusion is seeking a dedicated and passionate SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our team in Enfield. As a behaviour mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • To provide individualised support to students with SEMH needs, promoting their emotional well-being and academic success.
  • To develop strong relationships with students, staff, and parents, fostering a positive and inclusive school environment.
  • To work collaboratively with the teaching team to design and implement effective behaviour management strategies.
  • To contribute to the development of a trauma-informed approach, ensuring a safe and supportive learning space for all students.

Requirements

  • A genuine passion for supporting students with SEMH needs and a commitment to building a career in SEN.
  • Experience working with children who have challenging behaviour and a proven ability to adapt to new situations.
  • Knowledge of working with children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, including experience or training in behaviour management.
  • A resilient and adaptable approach, with a focus on exceeding expectations and making a positive impact on young people's lives.
