About the Role:">

We are recruiting for a highly motivated and experienced teacher to join our team as a Primary SEN Class Teacher in Vauxhall, South London.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience teaching Key Stage 1 and/or Key Stage 2 pupils, ideally with QTS, and be able to plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons.

The school caters for children with Social Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH) and additional associated Learning Difficulties.

Our school provides a unique opportunity for teachers to work with students who require additional support.

Class sizes are typically between 6-8 students, with Teaching/Learning Support Assistants providing full support.

The successful applicant will have a calm, patient manner and ability to react positively to a fast-changing environment.

">Responsibilities:">

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  • Teaching to a class of varying needs including varied types of learning levels.
  • Adapting the syllabus according to the individual students' EHCP.
  • Make appropriate use of a range of monitoring and assessment strategies to evaluate pupils' progress.
">Salary:">

Paid to scale (£30,480 - £45,540 per annum), depending on experience.

">Requirements:">

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience teaching at KS1 and/or KS2 (ideally with QTS).
  • Ability to plan and deliver high quality, engaging lessons.
  • Experience teaching and/or working with students with special needs.
  • Previous experience dealing with challenging behaviour & excellent behaviour management skills.
  • A calm, patient manner and ability to react positively to a fast-changing environment.
