Job Title: Emotional Support Teacher

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Emotional Support Teacher to join our team at Future Education.

As an Emotional Support Teacher, you will be working with students who have social, emotional, and mental health needs, including those with autism and challenging behaviours.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building strong relationships with students who exhibit challenging behaviours in a non-judgmental way.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and interactive lessons that cater to the individual needs of students.
  • Plan and prepare tailored lessons that meet the academic and emotional needs of students.
  • Develop and implement individualised education plans for students.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports the social and emotional wellbeing of all students.

Requirements:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) with either a PGCE, Teach First, ITT or Cert Ed qualification.
  • Experience teaching the UK curriculum in your chosen subject(s) at secondary level.
  • Experience working in a PRU, alternative provision, secondary school or SEMH school.
  • Proven experience working with pupils who have SEMH and autism.

Salary: £45,000 - £65,000 per annum.
