About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Enquiries Administrator to join our team at Durham University. As a key member of our Student and Academic Services Directorate, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service to our students, colleagues, and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide timely and accurate responses to student enquiries, resolving routine issues and providing information and updates to help your team find solutions.
  • Collect, organise and record data and information accurately, using standard office-based devices and applications such as Word, Teams and Excel to deliver services.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the University to ensure that services are being delivered in an efficient and collaborative way, liaising with external service providers to plan the delivery of services and events.
  • Support the development of products and services, adapting them in response to feedback and to meet changing demands.
  • Contribute to the creation of a welcoming and inclusive environment, promoting positive wellbeing arrangements that benefit you and your team.
Requirements
  • Five GCSE's at least Grade C or level four (or equivalent) including English Language and Mathematics or equivalent experience.
  • Experience of working in a busy office environment delivering front line customer service or having relevant qualifications for the role.
  • Experience of managing time and working under pressure without compromising on quality.
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrable ability to provide a high-quality advice and guidance service to a range of customers and colleagues.
  • Good digital skills including experience in using digital devices and apps including telephony systems, Live Chat, Microsoft 365 and digital booking systems.
  • Committed to continuing professional development.
  • Ability to solve problems and resolve straightforward issues yourself and as part of a team.
  • Ability to serve a wide range of customers with tact and diplomacy.
