Sexual Health Outreach Worker

Birmingham LGBT is seeking a dedicated individual to join our community sexual health team as a Sexual Health Outreach Worker. This role is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact on the sexual health of the LGBTQ+ community in Birmingham and Solihull.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide sexual health services from the Birmingham LGBT Centre and in off-site outreach locations.
  • Work closely with the Sexual Health Services Manager to develop and implement effective sexual health strategies.
  • Collaborate with local healthcare providers to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Conduct outreach and engagement activities to promote sexual health awareness and education.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong understanding of LGBTQ+ issues and community needs.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary of £24,666 per annum (pro rata) plus up to 5% matched pension contributions.
  • 18.5 hours per week, with the possibility of additional hours.
  • 25 days annual leave per annum (pro rata) plus bank holidays.
  • A permanent contract with opportunities for professional growth and development.
