Volunteer Services Team Coordinator
As a key member of our team at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, you will play a vital role in coordinating our Trust voluntary services team across all hospital sites. Your primary responsibility will be to set clear objectives and empower the team to enhance the volunteers' experience through effective implementation of policies and procedures to achieve national volunteering standards.
You will line manage the Voluntary services coordinators, including conducting appraisal and performance reviews. Your role will also involve effectively managing the DBS and NHS ID checking process for Volunteer Services.
We are looking for an individual with excellent communication, negotiation, and networking skills, who can work collaboratively with a range of service users, carers, staff, and other stakeholders. A commitment to eliminating inequalities for service users and carers and promoting inclusion of protected groups is essential.
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful and timely recruitment and induction of volunteers within the trust, in accordance with agreed policies and good practice. You will also ensure that voluntary services are aligned to all appropriate trust policies and embed trust values as standards across all volunteer involvement.
We are seeking someone who is proactive in seeking new opportunities for volunteer involvement, ensuring that opportunities are supported by the involvement of wider stakeholders and roles are introduced effectively to achieve the desired outcomes and impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinating the Trust voluntary services team across all hospital sites
- Setting clear objectives and empowering the team to enhance the volunteers' experience
- Line managing the Voluntary services coordinators
- Effectively managing the DBS and NHS ID checking process for Volunteer Services
- Overseeing the successful and timely recruitment and induction of volunteers

Requirements:
