Job Overview

Jupiter Recruitment is seeking an experienced Ward Manager to join our team at a leading mental health hospital in the Springfield, Essex area.

Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate will receive an excellent salary of £42,000 per annum DOE. In addition to a competitive salary, the position offers a range of benefits including 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, opportunities for development and progression, free parking on site, and comprehensive training programs.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years' experience in a supervisory capacity within a relevant care setting. As a Ward Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the nursing staff rota, acting as a role model and leader, ensuring the highest standard of patient care, and leading on recruitment and retention efforts.

You will also be responsible for managing medicines effectively, conducting clinical investigations and complaints procedures, and ensuring compliance with legislative frameworks such as the Mental Health Act and Deprivation of Liberties.

Strong communication and leadership skills are essential for this role, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams. The ideal candidate will be registered or experienced in a relevant field and willing to complete further training and development.

Requirements
  • At least 2 years' experience in a supervisory capacity within a relevant care setting
  • Appropriate registration or experience required for the ward
  • Willingness to complete further clinical, managerial, and leadership training and development
